Newbie

So...I'm not much of a blogger yet. I used to do it a lot in college on my MySpace when I was having some issues, and then again after I got back into it after my breakup from my ex. But I haven't been doing it lately. I guess I just haven't had anything very interesting to say lately other than the usual "I'm working a lot" and how greatful I am for Mike. Don't get me wrong...those are two nice things to talk about, but I'm a realistic person and realize that not everyone wants to read over and over about it.
Now that Mike's brought up, however, and since I'm new to Blogger and not everyone knows me here, I'll just throw in a little blurb. Mike and I met online over the summer and are now engaged to be married next fall. I know what some of you are thinking..."You met over the summer and are now ENGAGED?!?!" Oh, I know you're thinking it...I already heard it from the girls at work and even my own family. I'm used to it. But we're happy. I've never been more so. We talk about anything and everything, always managing to find some topic, no matter how small and insignificant. I thank God every day for bringing him into my life and allowing me to spend my days with him. I truly haven't done anything to deserve such an honor. I can't think about him without a smile on my face! Okay, okay. I'll quit with the sappiness. I love Mike's family, too. They've brought me into their family with wide open arms. Wedding plans are coming along...slowly, but coming along all the same.
Anyhoo...I suppose that's it for now. I'm sure I'll figure out something more to blog about sometime soon. So, until then...
